The IRYM-16 is a hydraulic switch machine built for marshalling yards, designed to operate reliably even where turnouts are changed very frequently. Running on a spring-hydraulic drive mechanism, it operates with no rotating parts and no control rod required, making it ideal for sites without easy access to external power, since it can run on solar energy as well as mains.


All control, monitoring, and detection components are housed in a single external box. The onboard processor keeps the switch in a safe position, continuously monitors tongue position and hydraulic pressure, and reports status through LED indicators, voice messages, or Intertech Rail's PathFinder® software, logging every status change with a timestamp.
