The Intertech Rail Multi-Line AEI Enclosure System is a purpose-built solution for railway operators who require precise asset tracking and resilient data management. It is designed to support up to four independent tracks and integrates AEI technology, RailID® Edge computing, and environmental monitoring within a single enclosure. The result is a secure, reliable, scalable platform that safeguards operational data even in harsh outdoor conditions.

Unlike conventional AEI enclosures, this system combines advanced sensing, power resilience, and cloud connectivity to ensure uninterrupted operations. The enclosure hosts the RailID® Edge, MPRX Multi-Protocol Reader, optional Opta controller, and an industrial-grade modem. Together, these devices capture AEI tag data, axle sensor inputs, and electrical/environmental parameters before transmitting them to the cloud via secure APIs.


A built-in capacitor bank provides up to 50 seconds of backup power during outages, giving the modem time to complete file storage and prevent corruption safely. Environmental sensors continuously log temperature and humidity, offering operators valuable diagnostics for performance validation. In practice, this allows railways to maintain data integrity, analyze conditions, and quickly determine the root cause of any reported issue — whether internal or external to the system.


An extra module of Solar Energy can be added, giving the RAILID Enclosure an easy way to install in sites where external Network energy is not reachable.
